Both models come with a durable and lightweight titanium design, incorporating the thinnest borders seen on any Apple product. The devices also benefit from the latest-generation Ceramic Shield, which provides enhanced durability, and an advanced mechanical architecture for improved heat dissipation and performance.

The iPhone 16 Pro series introduces notable upgrades in its camera system. Both models feature a new 48MP Fusion camera with a faster quad-pixel sensor, enabling 4K120 fps video recording in Dolby Vision, a first for iPhones. Additionally, the devices include a new 48MP Ultra Wide camera with autofocus, a 5x Telephoto camera on both models, and studio-quality microphones for more accurate audio recording. These enhancements offer users higher resolution photography, improved video capabilities, and superior audio quality for a more immersive multimedia experience.

The A18 Pro chip powers the new iPhone models, delivering significant improvements in performance and efficiency. Built with second-generation 3-nanometer technology, the A18 Pro chip features a new 16-core Neural Engine, which enhances on-device performance for Apple Intelligence. The chip’s 6-core GPU is up to 20 percent faster than its predecessor. The new CPU is also the fastest in a smartphone, providing a 15 percent increase in workload efficiency while consuming 20 percent less power.

Users can also adjust settings such as zoom, exposure, and depth of field directly through Camera Control. Future updates will include visual intelligence capabilities, allowing users to quickly obtain information about objects and places or access third-party tools like ChatGPT and Google search.

The iPhone 16 Pro series also brings advancements in battery life and energy efficiency. With larger batteries optimized by the new internal design and power management of iOS 18, users can expect a substantial increase in battery life, with the iPhone 16 Pro Max offering the longest battery life ever seen on an iPhone.
