Skyesports has revealed a new  Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) esports competition named Realme Campus Gaming League. From the 2nd of September 2024, the event has started taking registration and the journey will end on the 19th of September. The grand finals will take place in Chennai, India.

India’s premier esports tournament organizer Skyesports is known for their contribution to the esports sector. This new event will not only serve as a unique opportunity for the underdog teams but it might bring up new powerhouses and athletes in the mainstream competitive community.

Schedule and Format

Registration for new teams for the event has already been taken. After the period is over, there will be qualifiers. With the remaining participants for the Grand Finals, we will see a LAN final in Chennai, India. Additional event details will be revealed later including the number of teams, matches, etc. Here’s an overview of the schedule of the BGMI Realme Campus Gaming League:

BGMI Realme Campus Gaming League: Participant Teams

There are no details on the participant teams. But following the esports tournament structure of BGMI, the Grand Finals will feature 16 teams. All the teams will be taken through the qualifiers. The event will not take any invited teams as the core principle of it is to bring up grassroots talents.

Prize Pool

The event will feature a decent amount of INR 400,000 as the prize pool. Though the distribution is mostly among the top teams there are other rewards for the participants. Here’s a breakdown of the rewards.

The Champion 200k
Runner-up 100k
Most Valuable Player (MVP) 50k

As the distribution is shared above, there will be other rewards. The title sponsor Realme will give a few of its products worth INR 50k to the participants.

How to register for the BGMI Realme Campus Gaming League

To register for the event, just follow the simple steps given below.

  • Go to the official registration site and fill out the form with the necessary details like Team Details, College Name, College City, etc.
  • Verify if all the details you have submitted. If correct then hit submit and take a screenshot of the confirmation.
  • Join the Skyesports Gaming Discord Server and go to the Realme Campus Gaming League category channel to confirm registration.
  • If the registration is confirmed, you’ll see your team in the discord-confirmed-teams channel for successful registration

The hype of BGMI in India is unreal. The craze that’s going on throughout the year and banters, are on another level. However, the event will bear much significance in the competitive scene. Who knows we will see the next Jonathan or someone more fearsome!
